Crossing Borders exhibition at Gallery 159 Brisbane.

I will be up in Brisbane this weekend for a parade at Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens, to pre-launch an exhibition entitled "Crossing Borders" that will be at Gallery 159 Brisbane. It is a group exhibition of four textiles artists, as you will read below.

During MAY Gallery 159 is delighted to host a range of exquisite wearable fibre art brought to Brisbane by Timeless Textiles of Islington (Newcastle) – owned and operated by Anne Kempton. The four selected artists are Pam HovelAnne LeonMyfanwy Stirling and Gina Mastio. TAFTA is very pleased to announce a collaboration with BVAC (Brisbane Visual Arts Community) in the presentation of these garments which will be paraded in the Auditorium of the Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens at 11am on Sunday May 4th - all welcome.  After these Timeless Textiles are paraded on 4th May they will be set up as a dynamic installation at Gallery 159 where they will be on show (and for sale) until Sunday May 25th.
