My daughter and I had the pleasure of attending an afternoon basket weaving course given by indigenous artist Karleen Green. It was part of the Guringai Festival in celebration of NAIDOC week.

Karleen was a wonderful teacher and it was very special to have her share traditional grass weaving techniques with us.
We've now planted our own weaving plants to continue the new passion. A beautiful way to share craft time with my daughter, calm and creative. Thanks Karleen.
